You surrender the copyright in the process, but if you weren’t planning on selling them, to begin with, then you don’t have to worry about anything. 

Plus, it can be pretty cool to see an image you took on one of your favorite sites or on an Instagrammer’s feed.

StuDocu is a site that will buy your lecture notes from you. All you have to do is scan in your notes and you get paid via PayPal a few days later.

Pretty cool, right? It’s 100% legitimate, by the way. One of my friends did this after her term ended and she made easy money. 

It won’t make you rich, but it’s a great way to make money in college. 

16. Write A Book Or eBook

Have you heard about dropshipping before? It’s one of the best ways to make money online from home because it can end up being pretty passive income.

A dropshipping business has the potential to make a lot of money as well if you do it right, and you can even sign up to dropship and make money on Amazon!

It’s essentially where you’ll sell products, through your own website most likely, and when you sell the product, it will be shipped out – but not by you.

You can avoid shipping costs by simply being a middleman with dropshipping, and keep your house clear.

The great thing about this is that you don’t have to keep lots of stock at your home (or workplace) and you don’t have to scramble to post things out every time you make a sale.

It’s a great way to help other people save money, invest, or more, and give us a chance to make some money on our blog.

When we first started our blog, we had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

After we took the course Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing, we started to earn hundreds of dollars a month online.

21. Buy And Sell Websites

You may have heard of buying and selling things before, but have you heard of buying and selling websites?

Making money online can come from selling websites like you would physical products!

Flipping websites is something that you can do if you have a website or have had one before, so you know what to look out for and what you can improve on.

There are sites that you can buy and sell websites on, such as Flippa, or hang out in Facebook groups in the niche that you’re interested in to see if anyone is selling.

We’ve also seen people buy and sell domain names, without actually creating a full website around the name, so you have some options even without having coding skills.

Even though celebrities get a lot of exposure partnering with big-name brands, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it too!

Create viral videos, and you can find yourself becoming the next social media star as a big social media influencer.

Influencers have literally built their businesses off of a social platform like Instagram or YouTube, and you can use their success as a business model.

You can do quirky, cute, or interesting things to grow your audience, but the main way you can start getting paid now is through ad revenue. 

The concept is simple: brands pay you to showcase their products. That’s it! 

If you’re interested in becoming an influencer, create your personal brand or voice, grow your audience, and start by reaching out to smaller brands for collabs or affiliate links.

It helps if you already have a platform, such as a blog, so you can always get this set up as well.

If you’re bilingual, then translating could be your best bet to earn money online every week.

If you ever look at job postings, you’ll see that there is high demand for people who are able to translate from one language to another.

Audio file translations are a great way to make money online and work from home at your own pace.

As a translator, you could make over $50,000 per year helping people have conversations or translating audio files.

24. Start A Consulting Business

You know when you go to the bank to get a loan? Well, this is your way of being the ‘bank’, per se.

Peer-to-peer lending (or p2p lending) is as it sounds – you will be lending money to your peers.

Say, for example, if someone wants to borrow money for their business, they may get a p2p loan. 

So if they borrow $1,000 from you, you’ll get the $1,000 back plus 2 – 6%- so add $25 – $60 on top of that.

It’s not a ton, but it’s more money than you’d make leaving your money in a regular savings account!

26. Sell Thrift Finds Online

While it may sound strange, it’s totally possible to earn money online by flipping thrift store treasures you found.

Essentially you make money when you find items in stores for cheap that you can sell online for a lot more.

Like old 90s toys can be $2 – $10 in thrift stores but sell for $20- $30 online!

This isn’t an entirely online-only option since you have to go thrifting to find good sellers.

It is still a good option if you enjoy wandering around at flea markets or thrift stores anyway.

Plus, that makes for a good excuse to leave your house once in a while!

You can learn everything there is to know about buying valuable items for a low cost and flipping them for a profit with the course from Flea Market Flippers.

Honey is an online program that allows you to earn a percentage of your purchase back via check, PayPal, or gift cards.

Honey has an incredible browser extension to make sure you always get the extra cash back with your online purchases and finds coupon codes automatically.

You can also download their app to save money on the go!

Capital One Shopping is another helpful browser that tries to find discounts on your purchases.

You can also get rewards on their website, including Amazon gift cards– so you can use that cash back and savings for something great!

28. Get A Cash Back CC

If you’re already spending money, why not earn some of it back with a special cash back card? 

Make sure you set a budget so that you don’t overspend and then have a lot of debt to pay off. 

Getting cash back should be a feature of any credit card you sign up for, such as Chase or Capital One. 

You should do your research before signing up for any credit card and make sure that the allowable ways to get money online through cash back are feasible for you in your situation.

29. Make A YouTube Channel

How much do you think Youtubers make? It may surprise you how much money they earn!

There are many videos that you can make, depending on your talents, interests, and lifestyle.

Some people record cooking instructions, how to sew clothes, your life with your kids, or anything else you can imagine.

As long as people find you engaging and content interesting, then you can monetize your channel and earn money from your videos.

If you create a YouTube channel and want to learn how to make money from it, we recommend the online course, Mastering YouTube, which can teach you how to earn thousands a month.

30. Review Products

You can also earn money reviewing products from home- literally any and all products!

We use products for blogs, take courses on successful business tactics and more, and then make recommendations through articles and affiliates, so you could do the same.

You can get freebies from affiliates or buy things people recommend, then write your experience with it or record yourself using it too.

You can use your own website to share your product feedback or create YouTube videos to reach a wider audience online.

Now don’t think because you get an affiliate like that, you need to give them guaranteed favorable reviews.

Your readers or viewers want honesty, and your credibility and followers will crash if you lie to them.

Give as much detail as you can, the good and the bad, and see what you can get in advertising revenue or views on a YouTube channel!

31. Become A Personal Shopper

Money Potential – $15 – $20 per hour

If you’re shopping for yourself, why not help other people with their shopping too?

As a personal shopper, you essentially get clients who need help buying things but don’t have the spare time, knowledge, or taste to get what fits the occasion.

Sometimes you help people pick out the next best laptop for work- other clients may need high-end dresses and suits for business dinners.

Depending on the services you offer, you could be buying groceries, antiques, childcare items, and more. 

For the most part, this job can be well accomplished online, but depending on the client, they may ask you to go to stores in person for more detailed picks.

32.  Rent Out Your Space

Want a way to make better use of your home? You can rent out any free space you have with a few apps!

Plenty of people host their homes on Airbnb, and make money from just having guests crash there, but you don’t have to rent your whole house to make good money.

You’re able to rent out just a room or 2 on Airbnb, plus with other options like Neighbor, you can rent your basement, garage, and even driveway as storage space.

All you need to do is sign up with Airbnb and Neighbor, take pictures of the spaces, and decide how much you want to rent your space for.

33. Sell On Etsy

Do you have any artsy hobbies you enjoy? Well, you should use those hobbies to make money too!

Some people carve wood, make jewelry, sew quilts, make cards, and those are all fantastic online money-making ideas.

You can start any type of Etsy shop and post your creations- Etsy has millions of users around the world looking for handmade works of art.

If you look at the best sellers on Etsy, you have endless options of ideas and are only limited by your own time and craft budget.

34. Watch Videos & Ads

I am such a couch potato, so finding out I could get paid to watch videos was life-changing.

This isn’t a get-rich-quick idea, but you can use your free time to make a few bucks one video at a time.

If you’re already watching Facebook or TikTok videos in your downtime, why not get some free money out of it?

I put the videos on in the background while I’m cooking, working out, or just taking a break from work. 

My favorite apps to get paid for videos (and more!) are Swagbucks and InboxDollars, but there are plenty of other options you can try if you check out our other articles!

35. Test Websites

Testing websites is a great side hustle if you notice mistakes everywhere you go.

Companies pay you to visit and test their websites- meaning you use the site, see how it works or doesn’t work, and give them feedback.

Sometimes it’s testing their check-out features and “buying” products, others want you to review websites for looks and general usability.

UserTesting.com is the place to visit to find job postings to test websites- most are 20 minutes to complete and you get paid $10 via PayPal quickly.

36. Graphics Design

If you can create graphics, you could easily make $20 an hour doing online graphic design!

Different designs include business logos, printables, marketing graphs, stickers, and so much more.

Being a freelance graphic designer, you can find clients on Fiverr or FlexJobs and have a revolving door of work when you want money.

37. Create Products

If you’re creative, you could develop a product that helps people and becomes another must-have

You could create the next best cleaning tool, organization trays, computer gadgets, or any type of convenient product to make life simpler.

38. Develop New Mobile Apps

People are always looking for apps to entertain them or make things easier.

You can sell app ideas for a lot of money, which is great if you don’t know how to develop an app.

Or you can create a company around your app, just like how Facebook and Instagram started!

So if you create and launch an app that makes $5 per download and gets 100 downloads a month- that’s $500. Meaning a buyer may pay $5,000+ to get your app!

39. Start A Podcast

Podcasts are booming and everybody has a podcast they are hardcore dedicated to.

If you have interesting stories, read cool things, or have some crazy theories about life, you may find a following online.

You need programming skills of course, but there are some other ways to make websites and make money online without taking classes or something.

If you know how to design websites on WordPress, get an online store set up on Shopify or Square, or other apps and programs, you have many options for website development.

Another option you have is to buy and sell websites that already exist, by redesigning them, growing a following, and then selling it for a profit when you want to move on to something new.

43. Data Entry

Data entry jobs are everywhere, and you can find part-time and full-time jobs to do right from home and work around your own schedule.

You can make money fast if you’re a fast typer!

With data entry, you need to be fast at typing, have experience with spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel, and other general computer skills to make your job go quicker.
